What we do...
Making the world a little greener is everyone's responsibility. Unfortunately, not everyone knows how to do it. We help people help the environment by giving them the ability to promote renewable energy generation and elimination of the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) released into the atmosphere. Offsetting your energy usage with renewable energy credits (RECs) or Carbon Credits (CCs) is the perfect way to do your part to ensure the planet is here for generations to come. It's just that simple.
So what is a REC? It's a certificate that represents one megawatt hour (MWh), or 1000 kilowatt hours (kWh), of electricity generated from renewable sources and delivered somewhere on the power grid. A REC also represents the environmental benefits of replacing traditional, fossil-fuel power with clean, renewable power. For every MWh of renewable energy produced, there is one less MWh of power that is harmful to the environment.
To give you an idea of what it takes to offset your energy use; a typical household consumes about 800 kWh of power a month. So, purchasing one REC per month would make your energy use carbon neutral.
Going green has never been easier. Subscribe to our REC program and you don't have to give it a second thought. Every month a REC will be purchased in your name and you've done your part to keep the environment safe. So sign up today!
How we do it...
For our business clients we stress a bulk pricing model. To start, we assess the energy consumption of our customer over the last year. That information is added to the pool of clients that are Green Energy consumers and we take the aggregate requirements to our generators. The pricing power is in the sheer number of Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) we purchase at one time. We pass that savings on to our clients.
For our individual clients we are able to provide exceptional pricing because of those same purchasing pressures. We forecast what our personal customers need and "Bank" those RECs until an individual requires them for retirement. |
